New to our Autumn/Winter 2010-11 collections: Kiryuyrik.

Kiryuyrik was started in 2002 by Masakatsu Takayanagi and Yuki Taniyama, who met while working for Yohji Yamamoto; Masakatsu as one of Yohji Yamamoto’s designers and Yuki, the press agent for all 5 of the Yohji Yamamoto brands.

Another amazing label from Japan and new to our arsenal of progressive designers for Fall/Winter 2010 is “nude : masahiko maruyama.”

The Fall/Winter 2010 collection reveals a theme “Out of Focus,” continuing the same theme from his Spring/Summer collection. Working with primary dark colors, this concept is expressed in the form of double layering and washed-leather jackets which double as vests once the outer layer is removed.

We are very excited to add Incarnation by Keita Ogawa to our collection of designers for Fall/Winter 2010-11.

Fascinated by leather since childhood, Keita Ogawa created Incarnation in 2009 after several years of working for Chrome Hearts, as the Tokyo sales manager, and Isamu Katayama for Backlash. Currently living and working in Florence, Keita is designing and making a cutting-edge, high quality leather collection with hides sourced from renowned tanner, Guidi.

Lost & Found

After working in the industry for over 12 years, Canadian-born, Tuscany based designer Ria Dunn felt jaded with the world of disposable fashion. Moving her life and work to a new landscape, she made the decision to start a project from scratch, bringing about a label called Lost & Found.

Dunn’s design background stems from her studies in art and photography, which she began from an early age. Whatever she was involved with seemed to have artistic and creative features. “The natural evolution of these artistic sensibilities turned into design, with a focus on garment making”, she explains. As an avid traveler, Dunn always felt the need to move and drift about, but at the same time remain focused on the process of creation. “The need to move, to detach and to recreate my life has been something that I have always done.”

Augusta (the name comes from the designer’s grandmother) was founded in 2007 from the mind of Simone Cecchetto, a former shoe designer of cult brand Carpe Diem, founded by Maurizio Altieri. Simone Cecchetto is much more than just a shoemaker or designer. His handmade shoes, boots and leather goods are like pieces of art – timeless.
