Leon Emanuel Blanck

German based designer Leon Emanuel Blanck rejects traditional pattern making in favor of his own technique called Anfractuous Distortion. He begins with a cast formed around the moving human body, draping fabric while ignoring normal seams, creating atypical silhouettes. Every garment is constructed by hand and then goes through a deconstruction process. Every piece of the collection was once on a sculpture, fitted perfectly to the human anatomy without any regular seaming, and comes to life when worn by the person.
