Leon Emanuel Blanck

German based designer Leon Emanuel Blanck rejects traditional pattern making in favor of his own technique called ANFRACTUOUS DISTORTION; a form and function, the construction of body-sculptures, focusing on self-drapery, while in constant motion, patterns are hand-drawn. Each individual line is the result of the organic fabric flow during its inception. During the assembly phase, any symmetry is abandoned, as is the normalized categorization of upper and lower halves. The resulting construction is a purist manifest of deep technical sartoria through extrapolated patterns; in which no element is repeated twice. Each garment is constructed by hand and then goes through a deconstruction process.

Recently, Leon created the FORCED collection which now features symmetrical pattern making garments and has also added a women's collection along with bags, hats, gloves, and shoes!
