D. HYGEN

Formerly known as SADDAM TEISSY, the two anonymous Japanese designers debuted their new brand, D. HYGEN, during the 2018-19 Autumn Winter season. The name change intended to convey the concept of STRAINISM - clothing that embodies a feeling of tension, but in a more direct and articulated fashion than before. D. HYGEN references the proverb of “HAI_GEN” - of a human being controlled by string, who utilizes the force and balance inherent in the garment itself to harness that strain, thereby manipulating the invisible strings of life and time.
