Collection: NIHOMANO

Founded in 2013 to celebrate the art of shoe-making, NIHOMANO - Hawaiian word for “shark tooth” reshapes the traditional footwear artisan methods to develop old concepts in a modern perspective. NIHOMANO HANDMADE OPANCA SNEAKERS embraces the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. Being completely handmade in Italy, all NIHOMANO products inevitably suffer from the signs of the artisan process, explicitly represented in the scratches, the hammer blows and the abrasions to which their shoes are subjected. The brand focuses on the old opanca construction, an ancient technique that allows to mold the vero-cuoio by hand with the use of a hammer and many nails. Treatment : Hand + Object dyed. Construction : Blake Stitch
