Grey Italian Horse Culatta Nexo Biker Wallet

The Nexo Biker Wallet is a compact interpretation of the traditional chain wallet, constructed entirely by hand in the DARKNEEDLE San Francisco studio.

Despite its reduced proportions, the Nexo is one of the studio’s more involved pieces to produce. Each component is individually cut, prepared, finished and hand-stitched, with particular attention given to the interplay of materials and textures throughout. Italian horse culatta forms the exterior, paired with smooth and textured Italian leather interior and contrasting black leather details.

The natural variation of the culatta was considered throughout the cutting and construction of this piece, allowing areas of pronounced grain, smoother surfaces and tonal variation to become part of the finished composition. The result is a singular piece that cannot be exactly reproduced.

The interior features two card pockets and a zippered compartment for folded cash and coins, with an additional card pocket on the reverse. Each card pocket accommodates approximately one to two cards.

Finished with a Riri zipper, PRYM Italy hardware, and a Nexo leather bike chain constructed from solid brass and horsehide.
