Italian Horse Culatta Panel-Stitched Leather Aro Belt

The Aro Panel-Stitched Belt is constructed from individually selected sections of Italian horse culatta, joined by hand to create a continuous belt from a naturally irregular hide.

Horsehide can vary considerably in thickness, grain and surface character across a single skin. Rather than cutting one uninterrupted strip through areas of inconsistent substance, individual panels are selected for a more uniform weight and structure before being cut, prepared and assembled.

Each section is joined using a ladder stitch, creating a series of visible transitions along the length of the belt. Areas of smooth grain, pronounced texture and natural variation are deliberately positioned throughout, turning the changing character of the hide into part of the construction itself.

The process requires considerably more cutting, preparation and handwork than the standard Aro, with each connection individually stitched before the belt is assembled.

Built around the same continuous-loop construction as the Aro, the strap passes through solid metal hardware without fixed holes or conventional sizing, allowing the length and drop to be adjusted naturally.
